Mary Kay’s weekly classes focus on alignment in asana to obtain optimal benefits physically, mentally and spiritually in each posture.  Her instructions are presented in a way that take individuals’ needs into account.  This allows each student to progress at his or her own rate while continually being challenged to explore new possibilities of movement and calmness of mind.  Every class is taught to support an understanding of the philosophical basis of yoga on an experiential level.  This is achieved through the use of Sanskrit, chanting, the reading of ancient text, discussion of yoga history, and how the practice of yoga translates into the quality of our daily lives.

Her Ashtanga Series guides beginning to advanced students through the Ashtanga Primary Series.  Mary Kay provides modifications for individual students to facilitate alignment in each unique yogi’s flow.

All classes come with a dose of humor and lightheartedness, so students come prepared to work hard and have fun!

Tuesday 8:00-9:00 am: Intro to Ashtanga Yoga

Tuesday 9:00-10:30 am: Yoga Level 1-2

Wednesday 6:00 – 7:15 pm: Beginning Yoga

Friday 9:00-10:30 am: Ashtanga Yoga

Sunday 9:00- 10:30 am: Yoga Level 1-2
