Mary Kay West has devoted the past 25 years to the study and practice of yoga and has been teaching yoga since 1989. A former Clinical Psychologist, she has spent 18 years training with world renowned yogis in a range of traditions including Ashtanga, Ausara, Iyengar and Integrative Yoga Therapy.

Mary Kay has facilitated workshops for students and teachers across the Southeast since 1995.  She has conducted Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training for the past 12 years in Asheville, North Carolina, Greenville, South Carolina and Prescott, Arizona.  She has developed and directed yoga programs in health and holistic healing centers including programs for special needs such as sports injury and spinal surgery recovery as well as yoga for psycho-emotional needs.

Her teaching skills in the areas of psychology, asana and yogic philosophy combine to create an ever deepening devotion and dedication to thepractice of yoga in her students’ everyday actions. Mary Kay continues to share her knowledge and experience of yogathrough weekly classes and yearly Yoga Alliance Teacher Training in Santa Ynez, California.
